Ingredients —
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut butter into cubes and add to the flour mixture.
- Using a pastry cutter, work the butter into the flour mixture until fully incorporated.
- Add pumpkin puree and whole milk and mix with a wooden spoon until thoroughly combined.
- Use hands to work knead the dough until the mixture starts to hold together more.
- On a lightly floured surface, turn out the dough and pat into a 1-inch thick circle.
- Using a large cookie cutter, cut out biscuits from the dough.
- Place on the parchment paper with about ½ inch between each biscuit.
- Brush the tops lightly with milk.
- Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
