We listen.

Our events team reviews applications and reaches out within two weeks. We fill slots seasonally — early applications get priority for the next available period.

Step Three · Before Your First Date

Get your schedule.

Accepted performers receive a schedule for their upcoming dates. Check in with market staff on arrival — they’ll point you to your assigned spot for the day.

Step Four · Showtime

Set up & perform.

Arrive 30 minutes before your slot. Set up your space, keep volume at a social level, and stay through the end of your scheduled window. Rain does not cancel market — come prepared.

Common questions.

Buskers at DFM perform on a tips-and-exposure basis — there is no performance fee paid by DFM. In return, there is no stall fee or application fee. You keep everything in your tip jar. You may not sell merch during busking gigs. Buskers that regularly participate in busking gigs may be eligible for future paid gigs and bookings at DFM.

No. The $45 application fee applies to producer and vendor applications. Busker applications are separate and free — just email us with your performance type, a short bio, and a link to your work.

No, we do not allow buskers to sell merchandise during busking gigs.

Buskers must bring their own equipment, power cords and strips, mics, tip jar, signage, and any other equipment needed to perform. Battery-powered amps and small portable PA systems are permitted outdoors. No generator-powered equipment. Volume should stay at conversational-area levels. When in doubt, acoustic is always welcome. DFM staff will notify you if sound levels need to be adjusted.

Email info@dallasfarmersmarket.org with your name, performance type, a short bio, social media or website, and a link to video or audio of your work. We’ll respond within two weeks and let you know if you have been approved to busk. We schedule by season and fill slots as they open.

Yes, free on-site parking is included during your time performing at DFM. DFM staff will email you the parking location before the performance date.
