How do I become a vendor or producer at DFM?2026-06-18T11:10:24-05:00
Producer applications for The Shed and vendor inquiries for The Market Building are handled through our Join Our Market page. The Shed requires Texas-grown or Texas-made products — local farmers, ranchers, bakers, and artisan food producers are all welcome to apply. Indoor Market Building concepts are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Can I return produce I purchased?2026-06-18T11:10:23-05:00
Individual vendors set their own return or exchange policies. If you have an issue with a purchase, speak directly with the vendor at The Shed on your next visit — most are happy to make it right. For any complaints or assistance, the market office can be reached at (214) 939-2808.

What should I bring to the market?2026-06-18T11:10:21-05:00
Reusable bags or a sturdy tote for produce, a small amount of cash for Shed vendors, sunscreen and water in the summer months, and an empty stomach. Strollers and wagons are easy to navigate in The Shed. Arriving early on Saturdays gets you the best selection — specialty bread, cut flowers, and pastured eggs often sell out before 10:30am.

What is the Double Your Dollars program?2026-06-18T11:10:19-05:00
Double Your Dollars is a benefit-matching program at The Shed. When you redeem SNAP/EBT benefits, your purchasing power on produce and food items is matched dollar for dollar, up to $10 per visit. Simply visit the market information table when you arrive — staff will exchange your EBT value for market tokens redeemable with participating vendors. Full details here.

Does the market accept SNAP/EBT?2026-06-18T11:10:17-05:00
Yes. SNAP/EBT is accepted at The Shed. The Double Your Dollars program matches your SNAP benefits dollar for dollar on produce and food purchases, up to $10 per visit. Visit the information table near The Shed entrance to exchange your benefits for market tokens. Learn more about SNAP/EBT at DFM.

What payment methods are accepted at The Shed?2026-06-18T11:10:15-05:00
Most vendors at The Shed accept credit and debit cards through mobile card readers. Bringing a small amount of cash is recommended — some small farms and artisan producers prefer or accept only cash. All Market Building restaurants accept major credit and debit cards.

Is there bike parking?2026-06-18T11:10:12-05:00
Yes. Bike racks are available near the main entrance on Harwood Street. Dallas BCycle bike-share stations are located within a short walk of the campus, making a car-free visit easy from most downtown and Uptown neighborhoods.

Where can I park?2026-06-18T11:10:11-05:00
Several surface lots adjoin the market campus. Lot 1 at the corner of Harwood and Marilla is $5. Lot 2 south of The Shed is $3 on market days. The Harwood District Garage (one block north) typically runs $8–12. Street parking on surrounding blocks is often free on weekends. For details see Parking & Transportation.

How do I get here by DART?2026-06-18T11:10:09-05:00
The Pearl/Arts District Station is the closest DART stop — served by the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines. From the station, it is about a 5-minute walk south to 920 S. Harwood. The St. Paul Station (Red and Blue lines) is also walkable and can be less crowded on busy Saturdays. DART is a great way to skip parking entirely.

Is the market open year-round?2026-06-18T11:10:05-05:00
Yes. The Dallas Farmers Market has operated continuously since 1941. The Market Building is open daily, and The Shed runs every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine — it operates under a permanent covered canopy. We close only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Holiday hours for other dates are posted on our event calendar and Instagram.

What are the market’s hours?2026-06-18T11:10:03-05:00

Can I sample products before buying?2026-06-18T11:10:01-05:00
Many vendors at The Shed offer samples — look for tasting plates or just ask. It is always polite to ask before helping yourself. At The Market Building, most restaurant concepts are happy to answer questions or offer a taste at the counter.
