Emily’s passion is to provide programming, events, and specialty vendor markets to the DFM residents and community. Her upbringing in Lafayette, LA, allowed her to be immersed in a world of outdoor cultural events and festivities. This led her to pursue a career in Programming, where she gained experience curating festivals, concerts, wellness classes, and tons of other unique events. As an avid lover of the arts and an artist, you may see some of her designs on chalkboards and signage around The Shed!

Ricky Kowalewski

FARMERS MARKET DIRECTOR

Ricky’s passion for farmers markets started at a young age attending the tiny farmers market at the feed store in his grandparent’s small town in Southern Arizona. He interned with the Bloomfield Saturday Market during undergrad and ran the weekly farmers market in Pittsburgh, PA for two seasons. After bouncing around a bit, he took a position with the Lynchburg Community Market and took over as Market Manager for four years. While there, he served on numerous boards and committees including the Virginia Farmers Market Association. Outside of work he likes to go hiking and camping and gets out of the city when he can.

Kate Crenwelge

FARMERS MARKET ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Kate grew up on a farm in the countryside near Fredericksburg, TX, where she spent her days surrounded by gardens, livestock, and a healthy dose of country charm. Thanks to 4-H, she got to show turkeys (yes, turkeys) and compete in all sorts of agricultural competitions. Along with recently graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agribusiness, Kate has hands-on experience working on a ranch, helping local farms, and even contributed to public radio as an on-air personality.
