According to the U.S. Census Bureau, “seventeen percent of all farms have a producer who has served or is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.” Additionally, “Farms operated by producers with military service accounted for more than 129 million acres of farmland.” While you shop with local farmers, ranchers, and artisans this weekend (many of whom are also veteran-owned businesses!) you can bring Little Farmers for a craft activity to learn more about Memorial Day, and take pictures at our Poppies photo-op.
