Honor Hispanic Heritage Month with Folklore and Tradition Artisan Boutique

Upon entering Folklore and Tradition Artisan Boutique, you are transported to another place and time where gifted hands take great care in creating quality pieces, from jewelry and décor to one-of-a-kind clothing items, that you will treasure forever. Originally from Guatemala, founder and owner Mariola had to forego formal education to spend her childhood laboring in the markets in order to provide for her family. All that demanding work gave her the skill set she takes immense pride in today – the ability to showcase incredibly talented Latino vendors to her clientele from around the world.

Mariola and her daughter Nathalie want their visitors to experience with them the culture, diversity, and community of all the nations celebrated during Hispanic Heritage Month. The 30-day observance begins September 15 with the anniversary of the independence of Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Then Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18, and it wraps up with Columbus Day, or Día de la Raza, on October 12.

This Saturday, September 14, from 11:00am – 3:00pm Folklore and Tradition Artisan Boutique kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month with a live mariachi singer and DJ, Salvadorean pupusas, Mexican street tacos, tequila, and of course, free Mezcal as Mariola offers a “tiny, but with much love” celebration of her family and beautiful store’s heritage.

Come savor all the flavors!
