Before all the holiday decorations come down and 2026 is welcomed in, we’d like to take a moment to look back on 2025. Thanks to our incredibly supportive community, including more than 175 vendors in The Shed and close to 1.1 million visits, the Dallas Farmers Market had an amazing year full of connection.
Guests stopped to capture memories at more than 30 handmade, original chalkboard photo installations, while 11 field trips and school tours introduced students to the importance of local food and farming. Food lovers enjoyed 69 culinary experiences, including 2 O’clock Tastings, cooking demonstrations, and vendor-led food lessons. Through the DFM Busking Program, we hosted 187 busking bookings, giving more than 70 local musicians a platform to share their talents, alongside six Open Mic nights that welcomed an additional 150–180 performers. Wellness also took center stage with 81 classes ranging from pickleball and Pilates to yoga and bootcamp.
Line, Folklorico, Flamenco, Lunar New Year Lion, and Irish dancing performances brought festive, colorful fun. Arts and crafts events, including wreath-making workshops, pumpkin painting classes, and the M.A.D.E. Market, offered creative opportunities. Children’s programming featured hands-on fun with story time, petting zoos, printmaking workshops, gardening projects, and over 50 unique weekend crafts. Community events brought folks together through dog adoptions, blood and clothing drives, police engagement, garden workshops, bird and reptile sanctuary visits, and more, turning every DFM visit into an opportunity for all ages to learn and celebrate local creativity and culture.
2026 is taking shape, so make sure you stay up to date on upcoming events like our January Wellness Series and February’s Texas Wine Tasting Festival by engaging with the Dallas Farmers Market Facebook and Instagram pages, where we racked up over 14.7 million views, 230,000 interactions, and welcomed 26,000 new followers in 2025.
