ITALIAN SAUSAGE STUFFING: LISA FERRI – DIRECTOR OF THE MARKET

“My Aunt Jo-Jo from Rochester, NY, has been making this every Thanksgiving since I was a little girl, and has passed it down through all our generations.”

Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf of stale Italian bread
  • 1 large can of chicken broth (warm)
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cups of celery w/leaves (chopped)
  • 1 cup of parmesan cheese
Dirrections:
In large kettle put in pieces of broken up Italian bread in warm chicken broth.  Brown up Italian sausage, mild or spicy which ever you desire.  Once the sausage is browned, scoop into the kettle.  In the pan, you cook the sausage, sauté onion, garlic and celery with leaves.  Sauté until soft.  Pour in the kettle and mix all ingredients.  Pour in a cup of parmesan cheese and stir.  Put in a baking pan and pour in the mixture, cook for 40 minutes on 350.
