Join us as we kick off the start of summer with Farm Fresh Blueberries on June 15th. The first crop from Winona, TX will roll in along with fun activities for the whole family. We have bag dyeing with stomped blueberries that will get your (and the blueberries) creative juices flowing. With live music, bracelet making, and book readings, your kids are sure to enjoy their time at the farmers market. Our vendors are jumping in to celebrate too. With Dallas Farmers Markets’ own Esther from Wu Dujour demonstrating her kale salad as well as Ray from Rockin’ JR Ranch who will be making some of his famous blueberry jam. With summer just around the corner, this is one refreshing event you won’t want to miss. And to close it out, the Dallas Farmers Market will be taking a tour of Winona Orchards located about an hour outside of Dallas. Join us as we explore the 2,000 tree peach orchard and pick a pint of blueberries from Winona’s 4-acre blueberry patch. The tour begins at 10 am where you will be served a small breakfast (blueberry muffins, of course) as well as a blueberry spritzer. The tour will end with a picnic lunch, catered by Bonton Farms, that will be enjoyed alongside views of the orchard. This is as farm fresh as it gets!
