No. You can participate in one or both nights depending on your inventory and capacity. Indicate your preferred nights in your application. Consistent attendance is encouraged so buyers can plan around your presence.
Produce, meats, dairy, eggs, value-added foods, herbs, and cut flowers — anything you grow, raise, or produce yourself in Texas. Resellers are not eligible. Minimum quantity requirements apply.
Yes. The same Convention Force application covers The Shed, Wholesale Night, and M.A.D.E. Dallas® — indicate which markets you’re interested in within your bio. One $45 fee covers all.
The Shed is a retail weekend market for direct-to-consumer sales in smaller quantities. The Wholesale Night Market is for bulk sales to chefs, restaurants, caterers, and buyers purchasing in larger volumes. Evening hours and a bulk-oriented environment set the context.
Texas-based farmers, ranchers, and food producers selling direct. The wholesale market is for producers who grow or raise their products — not resellers or distributors.
Email info@dallasfarmersmarket.org with your name, contact info, your availability (weekends, weekdays, or both), and any roles that interest you. We’ll add you to our volunteer roster and contact you when shifts matching your availability open up.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16–17 must submit a parental consent form with their application. Group youth volunteering (such as Scout projects) is handled through our group application process and requires adult supervision.
Yes. Corporate groups, school clubs, faith organizations, and scout troops regularly volunteer at DFM. Group applications need a group coordinator contact and should specify approximate headcount. We recommend booking group shifts at least three weeks in advance.
No special skills are required for most volunteer roles. A friendly disposition and a willingness to help visitors goes a long way. Bilingual volunteers (especially Spanish speakers) are especially welcome and can be matched with roles that put those skills to work.
Weekend market shifts are typically 3–4 hours, usually 9 AM–noon or 10 AM–2 PM. Event support shifts vary by event — most run 4–6 hours. You choose which shifts fit your schedule during signup.
There is no cash compensation — this is a community service opportunity.

Once approved, you’ll upload your Texas food handler certification, general liability insurance, and any applicable permits directly in Convention Force before your first market day.
