Cinco de Mayo offers a moment to stop and honor all the depth of Mexican culture and heritage. This Saturday, May 3rd, the Dallas Farmers Market has a beautiful, colorful, and flavorful celebration planned with our own Folklore and Tradition Artisan Boutique and Taqueria La Ventana leading the way.
Come enjoy great food and refreshing drinks while immersing yourself in Mexican art, music, and traditions, including “folklórico.” In Mexico, “folklórico” (from the Spanish word for “folkloric”) refers to traditional Mexican folk dances, music, costumes, and other cultural expressions that reflect regional traditions and folklore. It’s a way of showcasing the diverse heritage of different parts of Mexico, often incorporating elements of Spanish and indigenous traditions. Folklore and Tradition Artisan Boutique is hosting Grupo de Danza Folklorica Santa Monica from the Santa Monica Catholic Parish in Dallas. Their stunning array of dress, swaying arms, and fast moving feet will enchant you.
