The Dallas Farmers Market offers exciting age-appropriate programs about health and nutrition, growing and eating fruits and vegetables, and the economics of a farmers’ market. Amigo’s Compost – Potting Workshop

Get your hands dirty with Alex Rocha of Amigo’s Compost with this field trip experience! Join Alex in the Community Garden, where he will have organic compost and biodegradable planters for each student to take home. Students will learn about the importance of compost, how to care for plants, and answer any questions you may have!

Atlas Homestead – Atlas Academy

Discover the world of agriculture with Atlas Academy! Join Will, Justin, and all their “farm ambassadors” for a hands-on and educational experience. Atlas Academy will bring our some of the farm favorites for students to interact with — everything from chickens, ducks, rabbits, heritage pigs, and more! Atlas Homestead will answer all your questions about being a farmer and the animals they raise. Photo opportunities are welcomed!
