Spring time isn’t always light on its feet around here.. in fact, it seems to March right in! The Shed is ready to “spring forward” this weekend with beautiful plant starts from Kelley Produce to get you started in the garden along with the much anticipated return of Victory Gardens. Victory Gardens, based in Oak Cliff, is woman-owned one-stop-shop for anyone who is ready to make a foray into gardening this year. Victory Gardens provides everything you need for a successful raised-bed garden along with year-round support to turn any thumb green. A trip to care for your garden (no matter how small) can feel like a mini-spring break any time of year – just ask the CDC who studied the positive impact of garden activities on physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. Sounds like a vacation to us!
If you’re looking for a fun way to kick-off your spring break and get your locally grown garden underway, then we can’t wait to see you this weekend in The Shed. Check out our lineup of Spring Break activities below —
