Most of us know how fun pumpkins are to carve and decorate with, but did you know they’re also easy and delicious to cook with? Some of the prettiest pumpkins in the patch are actually perfect for creating sweet and savory dishes to celebrate that fall harvest season. Fairytale pumpkins, for example, have thick, soft flesh that is ideal to create abundant pumpkin puree. Cheddar pumpkins are a convenient size and shape to stuff and roast in the oven. Then of course, there are the pumpkin seeds! Pumpkin seeds of any variety are a nutritious snack when their lightly roasted and seasoned. There’s even enough to go around for your favorite pups, too! Pumpkin puree, rolled oats, and peanut butter make easy no-bake bite size treats for any furry friend. Note: Peanut Butter is different than Peanut Spread – ingredients should include peanuts ONLY.
