Thank you for another amazing Watermelon Day! Last weekend was a sell out day for Texas-grown watermelons and our vendors could not be more grateful for all of the community support. Watermelon Day is our way of bringing together the community to celebrate National Farmers Market week! Vendors, volunteers, staff, and customers keep community at the heart of the Dallas Farmers Market. Every weekend, year-round our market is open as a space for community gathering, fresh food access, and to support local Texas agriculture!
During National Farmers Market week, we celebrate the people who make our market shine alongside the more than 5,000 local farmers markets across the United States. Farmers Markets are changing the food landscape for the better with increased availability of local goods, robust SNAP/EBT incentive programs, and equitable platforms for small businesses! Celebrate with us while we share all the reasons to #LoveMyMarket!
