Autumn engages every sense like no other season. Deep oranges, golden yellows, and acorn browns replace the fading greens. The earthy scent of distant burning chimineas carries on the breeze. Crunching leaves underfoot and honking geese overhead accompany walks. Taste buds crave all things pumpkin spice, and with the first hints of cooler air comes the welcome coziness of a soft evening blanket. Autumn doesn’t just arrive – it envelops.
While we admit North Texas does take its time to fully bring on all the fall, that doesn’t mean we have to delay celebrating the shifting of the seasons. Carve out time this weekend for all the pumpkin fun, live music, tasty flavors, and family activities happening during Dallas’ Original Texas Pumpkin Day at the Dallas Farmers Market!
Once again Kelley Produce has partnered with Pumpkin Pyle fields of Floydada, TX, to offer over 25 varieties of pumpkins, including large, long-stem Jack-o’-Lanterns, stackable Fairytales and Cinderellas, and edible Cheddars and Blue Hubbards. When you choose locally grown pumpkins, you’ll not only get the freshest available, you’ll also discover one-of-a-kind varieties like Monster gourds and Knuckle Heads that grocery stores simply don’t offer.
Come make pumpkin patch memories you’ll cherish:

Head to The Shed all weekend long to shop small businesses for fall-related items, and even after Pumpkin Days are over, The Shed Pumpkin Patch will remain open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. during October.
We also want to offer a Texas-sized thank you to our partners at the Texas Department of Agriculture and the GO TEXAN program for supporting Pumpkin Day and for their continued commitment to local agriculture and small businesses. The Dallas Farmers Market is a Certified GO TEXAN Farmers Market, so be sure to visit our GO TEXAN vendors, marked by their Farmers Market/GO TEXAN tablecloths.
Sure, you could throw an ordinary gourd into your grocery cart, but where’s the fun in that? Grab a wheelbarrow and add some laughter and “oohs and aahs” to your sounds of Autumn at the Dallas Farmers Market!
