Slow Food DFW is bringing back Matthew Ramirez of Macellaio to teach a more indepth intimate class on traditional bread making! Come learn from Matthew how to become one with the dough! There is no baker’s yeast used, only sourdough starter and the loaf is created by fermentation and building it up in puffy layers. It’s a process that has been around for centuries. Usually hours long process that Matthew will cover in two hours to give you the confidence to continue to keep and use a sourdough starter. Recipe for both white bread and sour dough. Hands-on kneading and shaping instruction and everyone gets to take their bread home to proof and bake. Tasting of breads and spreads along with a local microbrew.
