April 19th-21st we celebrate Easter and all things spring at the Dallas Farmers Market. We kicked things off with an Easter Bunny Floral arrangement workshop with Charming @ The Market and in this one hour class we created mini-Easter bouquets while learning about the industry and picking up some helpful tips and tricks that will make all your arrangements pop! On Saturday, The Shed celebrated the first of spring with our Sweet on Strawberries event. Market goers came out and tasted the first fruits of the year with a complimentary chef demo teaching you how to make fresh whipped cream to go with your strawberries and Little Farmers Activities and face-painting for the kids. Vendors joined the celebration with fun food like Korean Stuffed Pancakes from WuDujour, Strawberry Daiquiri filled Chocolate Bars from Victoria Chefina Chocolates, Strawberry Lavender Ice Cream from Prayer Lavender Garden and Mango-Berry Lemonade from Timmy’s Tasty Organic Lemonade and more! And to cap it off, we celebrated Easter in a spectacular way! With an Easter egg hunt for ages toddlers – 8, followed by an Easter parade, there was plenty of fun for the whole family. We also taught how to dye Easter eggs the all-natural way with foods like beets, black beans and tumeric. There was also an Easter themed petting zoo, as well as a bounce house, live music and even stilt-walkers. This was a very fun and egg-citing Easter extravaganza!
